Cynthia headshot

Like a number of Surfrider members, Cynthia is a swimmer, not a surfer. She likes to swim out well beyond the surf, sometimes imaging life as a whale. She has been active with the Kauai Chapter since 2015 serving as Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair. As the Data Analyst, Cynthia keeps track of the tons of debris annually brought in by dedicated volunteers led by Barbara Wiedner and Scott McCubbins. Reporting the results is important to show the magnitude of marine debris and its potential harm, especially Ghost Fishing Gear. Cynthia works from her home office in Seattle, WA.
